Cultured Canine Dog Services Terms & Conditions

1.1. All bookings are strictly provisional until full payment (or an agreed deposit) is received.
1.2. For standard single consultations or packages, payment must be cleared at least 48 hours prior to the session.
1.3. For specialized or higher-value services, such as Intensive Courses, payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your requested dates. Once paid, this fee is strictly non-refundable.

2.1. Standard Services: A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a standard training or behaviour session. Cancellations within 48 hours will be charged at the full rate.
2.2. Intensive Courses: Due to the extensive blocking out of the behaviourist’s diary, Intensive Courses require a minimum of 7 days’ notice to rearrange the course start date.
2.3. Mid-Course Adjustments: Once any multi-session package or Intensive Course has commenced, individual sessions cannot be moved, cancelled, or refunded by the client for any reason, with the exception of clause 3 (Weather). Missed sessions by the client are forfeited.

3.1. Training and behaviour sessions take place in all reasonable weather conditions.
3.2. Sessions will only be rearranged at the behaviourist’s discretion in cases of severe or dangerous weather that compromises canine or human welfare (e.g., dangerous summer heatwaves, torrential storms, heavy snow/ice).
3.3. If a session is postponed due to dangerous weather, it will be rescheduled at the earliest mutually convenient date. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.

4.1. Because physical pain and medical conditions are primary triggers for behavioural problems, all intensive or complex behaviour work requires a veterinary referral or confirmation that the dog is physically healthy.
4.2. Owners must disclose any known medical conditions, injuries, or current medications before training begins.

5.1. No Guarantees: While we utilise the highest standard of modern, science-based behaviour modification techniques, it is impossible to guarantee a specific behavioural outcome or a "changed dog" by a set deadline.
5.2. Animal behaviour is influenced by genetics, history, environment, and ongoing reinforcement. Success relies heavily on the owner's commitment to implementing long-term management strategies and training protocols outside of our sessions.

6.1. We operate under a strict force-free, science-based, and ethical code of conduct.
6.2. The use of harsh handling, physical corrections, or aversive equipment (including but not limited to shock collars, prong collars, slip leads, or choke chains) is strictly prohibited during our sessions and may result in the immediate termination of the contract without a refund.

7. Liability, Safety, and Ownership

7.1. The owner/handler acknowledges that they remain legally responsible for their dog’s actions and safety at all times, including during sessions where the behaviourist is present.
7.2. The owner must disclose prior to booking if the dog has a history of biting, attacking, or causing damage, or if the dog is subject to any legal restrictions or court orders.
7.3. If a dog requires a muzzle for safety, the owner agrees to cooperate with a force-free muzzle training protocol.
7.4. The behaviourist reserves the right to terminate any session or course immediately, without refund, if they deem the environment unsafe, the dog's welfare compromised, or if the client acts aggressively or deceptively regarding the dog's history.

8. Media and Data Protection

8.1. Video and photographic footage recorded during sessions remain the property of Cultured Canine Dog Services. Footage shared with the client is for personal use and education only.
8.2. The client agrees that footage may be used by Cultured Canine Dog Services for educational, marketing, or social media purposes unless expressly told otherwise.
8.3. All client information is processed safely in accordance with UK GDPR regulations.
