Behaviour Modification

Dogs can display a wide range of behavioural problems which are undesirable for owners. As a Behaviourist, I aim to teach both dog owner how to change and manage these problems that occur. Common problems seen include:

  • Jumping

  • Mouthing

  • Food and toy possession

  • Dog/People aggression

  • Dog Reactiveness

  • Fear

  • Nuisance Barking

  • Separation Anxiety

  • Bad habits (e.g. tail chasing)

A consultation involves a visit to your home where I will assess your dogs behaviour and discuss this with you. A behavioural modification plan will then be discussed and in many cases demonstrated with you to allow you to begin to change this behaviour. This will last approximately two hours. After the consultation you will receive a email report on the session as well as free email advice if required.

Many behaviours are not a quick fix and require a high amount of dedication to work through challenging behaviours. This is why we offer follow up visits after the initial consultation for anyone who would like further help and support throughout the programme. This can be discussed on a case by case basis.
