Holly Adgo (BSC Hons, AdvDipCBM, DipCBT)
I began Cultured Canine with the aim to help owners better understand and connect with their dogs. Training is a vital part of dog ownership and I strive to make this fun and enjoyable for both owner and dog.
I am a full member of the Association Of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) & Part of the Animal Behaviour & Training Charter. I am also a full member of the Pet Professional Guild (PPG). I hold a degree in Psychology (Bsc Hons) with L5 Animal behaviour along with an Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management & Diploma in Canine Behaviour Training. I am First Aid trained and also L3 Qualified in Canine Nutrition & Canine Grooming (although do not offer Nutrition or Grooming services at this time). My membership of the above organisations means that I have been assessed and examined in a range or areas and also follow a strict code of ethics throughout all my training. I am continously updating and expanding my knowledge with regular CPD, research & courses to ensure I am up to speed with the most current best practice & theories.
My two current dogs are Blossom (Standard Poodle) & Athur (Labradoodle). For those of you who have attended classes, you will likely know Blossom as the class stooge dog who helps with demo's and puppy socialisation. Blossom also helps with anxious or reactive dogs and also with a variety of other behaviour cases. Arthur has been through some anxiety challenges of his own but is now also successfully working as a stooge dog for anxious and reactive cases also. My previous dogs include German Shepherds, Labradors & Spaniels.
I run a variety of services around the North of York including Easingwold, Haxby, Strensall and Thirsk. These include Group training classes and 1 to 1 in home sessions. I also provide behaviour consultations where we can work together to modify your dogs unwanted behaviours.
